Federal Giltwood and Mahogany Eglomise Banjo Timepiece, probably Concord, Massachusetts, c. 1825, the brass ball finial above a mahogany and giltwood case with brass bezel and painted iron dial enclosing an eight-day weight-driven movement, the throat panel showing grapevines inscribed "A. Willard, Jr. Boston," the lower tablet showing "LaGrange," both framed by gilt spiral moldings and flanked by brass side arms, (imperfections, throat glass old but not original to the timepiece), ht. 33 1/4 in.
