Continental School, late 19th/early 20th century. "At the Tavern”, oil on wood board, apparently unsigned. Figural painting depicting four men drinking in a rustic interior of a tavern at a long rectangular table with coordinating benches on each side. One man with black hat and jacket seated on end raising dark glass bottle overhead, another figure with brown hat positioned with back facing view holding a handled cup at knee facing a standing figure pouring alcohol into glass beside a black man seated on table top beside cap, scattered items knocked over on floor. Framed approximately 8" x 9.1". Unframed approximately 5.75" x 6.9".
