An English Aesthetic Movement tortoiseshell painted bamboo cabinet, the top decorated with painted black and red design, over a coved molding surmounting the case comprising chocolate brown tooled leather sides with flower and bird pattern and front door comprising a simulated library with two rows of leather bound books divided by a bamboo faux shelf railing, the round gilt pull opening to a case interior lined in conforming tooled leather separated by a coved shelf forming two rows of storage space, the base comprising turned bamboo stiles and cross rails over a tooled leather lower shelf forming a magazine or newspaper rack, all raised on 2 front cabriole legs with hoof feet and 2 straight back legs. Approximate height 46.75", width 21", depth 15".
