Five Blue and White Transfer Decorated Staffordshire Plates, England, early 19th century, two made by James & Ralph Clews, Cobridge, 1817-34, depicting "Winter View of Pittsfield Mass," and "Doctor Syntax and the Bees; " one by Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, 1819-46, depicting "The Landing of the Fathers at Plymouth Dec. 22 1620;" one by J. & W. Ridgeway, Hanley, 1814-30, depicting "Philadelphia, Library," from the Beauties of America series; one by an unknown maker, depicting a pastoral scene, all except the last with impressed maker's marks and printed titles, (few minor chips), dia. 10 3/8, 10, 8 3/8, 8 1/4, 6 1/2 in. respectively.
