Two Notch-carved Wall Racks, America, late 19th century, one rack decorated with stepped geometric devices and applied brass framed white porcelain bosses and star shaped cut-outs on the sides, the other is composed of chip-carved wood slats arranged in a heart motif, painted black, (the latter with scattered paint wear), ht. 21, wd. 18, dp.7 in.; ht. 27 1/2, wd. 16 3/8, dp. 6 in. respectively.
