Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, William Cummens, Boston or Roxbury, Massachusetts, c. 1800, the hood with pierced fretwork and brass ball finials, on reeded plinths, above the arched cornice molding and string-inlaid glazed tombstone door enclosing a polychrome painted iron dial showing a seated woman with flowers at the base of an urn in the arch, and floral spandrels centering the dial with second hand and calendar aperture lettered "warranted by William Cummens," and with brass eight-day weight-driven movement. The waist with molded and inlaid rectangular door flanked by brass stop-fluted and reeded quarter columns, on string-inlaid base and bracket feet, refinished, (restored, works of different origin), ht. 91 in.
