Federal Gilt Gesso and Mahogany Presentation Banjo Clock, Edmund Currier, Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1828, the molded brass bezel enclosing a painted iron dial and brass weight-driven striking movement, above the eglomise throat tablet with flowering vine and vase, and lettered "E. Currier," the lower eglomise tablet with scrolled vine designs, both framed by gilt moldings with flanking brass side pieces, all resting on a bracket terminating with an acorn, (minor imperfections), ht. 40 in.
