Queen Anne Maple Slant-lid Desk, attributed to Peter Bartlett (1788-1838), Salisbury, New Hampshire, c. 1806, the lid opens to an interior with a central prospect door, opening to interior compartments flanked by other valanced compartments above a drawer; on a case of four thumb-molded graduated drawers on short cabriole legs with shaped returns, original brasses, old surface, (minor imperfections), ht. 43 1/2, wd. 39, dp. 19 1/4 in.
