Federal Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Serpentine Inlaid Sideboard, Baltimore, Maryland or Wilmington, North Carolina, 1790-1810, the veneered shaped top with stringing on the edge above three drawers with a central cupboard flanked by end drawers; the embellishments include bookend inlays, quarter fan inlays and lozenges as well as panels of stringing and cusp inlays, topped by pellets, which outline the outer surfaces of the six legs above the cuff inlays, original brass, old refinish, (imperfections), ht. 40 1/2, wd. 71 3/4, dp. 28 1/2 in.
