American, third quarter 19th century. A bellflower double vine water pitcher with bellflower single vine creamer, both colorless lead glass. The water pitcher in shouldered form with vines flowing right and left, ribs end in straight line at shoulder, applied solid handle, polished pontil mark. The creamer with vines flowing left, ribbed to rim with applied solid handle, 31 rays under foot. Both apparently unmarked. Also known as "Ribbed Leaf', probably M'Kee & Brothers, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Approximate height of water pitcher at lip 8.15", handle 9.4". Approximate height of creamer at lip 5.75", handle 6.6". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
