Continental School, 19th century. A collection of three diminutive portraits of ladies comprising one rectangular painting on bone after "Portrait of Empress Yelizaveta Alekseyevna" by Elizabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun (French, 1755-1842), inscribed lower right "Lebrun", the original painted in 1798 and depicting the young woman in a brown wrap and light blue scarf wrapped around her flowing blonde hair, portrait contained in a rectangular gilt brass frame with floral swags and reticulated border; an oval painting on bone likely depicting Marie Antoinette in corsetted blue dress and large hat with plumage; and an oval painting on bone depicting an 18th century French woman with white dress pulled down exposing her breast. Rectangular portrait approximately 4" x 3.125". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
