Norman Arsenault Stoneware Pottery Vase and Covered Jar, America, 20th century, cylindrical vase in speckled tan semi-gloss glaze; together with covered jar decorated with a graduating rectangular grid in mottled blue and speckled brown, inscribed "Arsenault," ht. 12 5/8, 5 1/8 in., respectively. Note: A pioneer ceramist in the Modern style, Norman E. Arsenault was chosen to be the founder of the ceramics division at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
