Federal Mahogany Inlaid Serpentine Chest of Drawers, Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1800, the mahogany top with string-inlaid edge, end-blocking and curving sides, overhangs a case of conforming drawers with cockbeaded surrounds and stringing in outline, above a molded base with fan-inlaid central drop pendant and four shaped bracket feet also with stringing in outline, original brass, old refinish, ht. 32 1/4, wd. at top 38 1/4, wd. of case 35 3/4, dp. at top 21 3/4, dp. of case 19 3/4 in.
