Needlework Sampler, wrought by "Sally Jackson her sampler 1771," Boston Fishing Lady School, Boston, Massachusetts, row of alphabet above an inspirational verse, the central pictorial panel depicting a hilly landscape with leaping stag, flowers, tree, birds in flight, a parrot, and strawberries, all in a pastoral setting with maker's inscription below, all enclosed by an exuberant undulating floral border, worked in polychrome silk and wool threads on linen ground, 17 1/2 x 20 3/4 (sight), matted and framed.
