Copper and Iron Statue of Liberty Weather Vane, America, c. 1886, the molded copper figure wearing a radiating crown, holds a torch in one extended arm and a tablet in the other and stands on a rectangular platform, the arrow below has a corrugated copper tail surmounting iron directionals and two copper spheres, no stand, (several dents, minor loss on tail), ht. approx. 56 1/2, lg. 45 1/2 in. N.B. Accompanying the weather vane is a photocopy of a photograph depicting the residence of George N. Tyner, Esq. of Holyoke, Massachusetts. The weather vane is on top of the carriage house. George N. Tyner was the treasurer of the Holyoke Envelope Company, which was established in 1880 and was once the largest envelope manufactory in the world.
