Silver Presentation Fish Servers, New York, mid 19th century, comprising fork and knife, handles with beaded trefoils over engraved shield and acanthus, knife blade engraved with cartouche of a hound amid leafy scrolls, fork tines with star and leaf engraving, ending in pair of fish, engraved to Eliphalet Trask from the Springfield National Horse Guard, and dated 1855, in fitted leathered case, knife lg. 12 3/8 in. Note: Eliphalet Trask was a notable figure in Springfield, Massachusetts city politics, serving three terms as Mayor, and was also Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts from 1858 to 1861.
