Anglo-Indian Tortoiseshell and Ivory Octagonal Sewing Box, late 19th/early 20th century, sloped hinged lid set with pattern of floral pierced ivory plaques offset with red and green tinted foliate roundels and strips, edge of lid with tacked ivory strips, sides with fruther pierced plaques centered with flowers, escutcheon to front, opening to mirror lined lid and velvet lined body, raised on eight carved bone paw feet, lg. 6 7/8, ht. 3 1/2 in.
