Bru Smiler Bisque Head Lady Doll, France, c. 1870, narrow two-tone blue glass eyes, crisp outlined and shaded smiling mouth, finely lined brown eyebrows, pierced ears, impressed E on head and lightly on shoulder (head glued into shoulder plate, small chip shows at base of neck), original dark blonde mohair wig in long curls, heavy ungusseted cloth body, kid arms, original commercial outfit of ivory and lavender wood with lace and braid trim throughout, ht. 16 in.
