Framed Charles II Embroidery Panel, England, late 17th century, the fragmentary panel on silk ground, stitched to center with a petit point roundel depicting an allegorical lady with a staff and a man with a bag pipe, seated by a tree before a house and flanked by animals, the roundel in metal purl surround, enclosed by silk needlework tulips and fruit tree spring, and with silk stitched and purl birds, butterflies, flies, and a caterpillar, in velvet trimmed giltwood frame, sight 19 x 16, frame 22 1/2 x 19 1/2 in.
