Probably French, 20th century. Louis XV/XVI transitional style Vernis Martin decorated gilt bronze mounted veneered wood side cabinet having a serpentine shaped breche d'alep marble top over a conforming case with single drawer centered with Sevres style painted plaque depicting a courting scene within a gilt bronze banded surround above a single quarter veneered door having a painted scene of a shepherdess and her admiring companion seated in a landscape setting with sheep at their feet within decorative gilt bronze border, the concave sides similarly decorated but with mountainous landscape with waterfall and foliage. The angles mounted with gilt bronze foliage and raised on shaped cabriole legs terminating in front cast sabots joined by a gilt bronze mounted serpentine apron. Approximate height 32.75”, width 32”, depth 15”.
