Edward Herbert Barnard (American, 1855-1909) Pasture Signed "EHBarnard" l. r., titled on label on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 in. (40.5 x 50.8 cm), in a signed and dated "Thulin 1920" frame. Condition: Scattered retouch, craquelure. N.B. In 1903, Walfred Thulin along with Charles Prendergast and artist Hermann Dudley Murphy started a frame making business in Boston, called the Carrig-Rohane Shop, Inc. The frames they produced were all hand carved and gilded and were based on European designs.
