Chinese School, 19th Century Portrait of the Clipper Ship Stamboul . Unsigned. Oil on canvas, depicts the three-masted ship in coastal waters flying a Canadian flag off the stern, 18 x 23 1/4 in., unframed. Condition: Extensive craquelure, restored, inpainting, laid down, patches. Note: The Stamboul was built in 1875 at Port Gilbert, Nova Scotia, by Bingay, it was registered in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
