Mochaware Barrel-form Jug, England, c. 1820, pearlware jug banded in ochre, blue and black with green-glazed rouletting in a beaded herringbone pattern at the rim and foot, the blue bands with large black slip dots, the ochre field with blue, black and white "twigs" and diamond-shaped groupings of white slip dots, extruded handle with foliate terminals, (couple chips to handle edge), ht. 7 7/8 in. Provenance: Purchased from Stephen-Douglas, Rockingham, Vermont.
