Suite of Four Cut-Paper (Scherenschnitte) Genre Scenes, Pennsylvania, 19th century, one depicting children bidding goodnight to their parents who are seated at a table with a cat; the second a group of girls jumping rope; the third a family in a horse-drawn sleigh; the fourth depicting a child seated on a riverbank, a woman riding horseback, children playing with hoops, and three deer, surrounded by a meandering vine; all four heightened with penciled details and mounted against a black paper ground, molded, gilded frames, sight sizes 1 7/8 x 3 3/8 to 3 1/8 x 4 in.
