American, 19th century. Antique bowie knife with unmarked and undecorated stainless steel blade on a wire wrapped brass metal hollow handle and guard. Knife contained within a leather scabbard with brass tip, upper section of loops on scabbard marked with "20". Knife and scabbard contained within a shadowbox framed display. Length of knife (out of holder) 14.5". Frame measures approximately 12.75" x 17.75".
