Northern Plains Beaded Hide Moccasins, Blackfeet, c. late 19th century, the hard soles of buffalo rawhide, the buffalo hide uppers beaded on the fronts with multicolored stacked triangle devices on a white ground, the backs with a lightning pattern in pony trader blue beads, red trade cloth cuffs, and high soft hide ankle coverings, lg. 10 1/2 in. Provenance: Given to the present owner's father by the wife of Two-Guns-Whitecalf, c. 1920, provenance and photographs included with the lot.
