18kt Gold Ring, centering an abstract profile in bas relief, with textured gold surface and penannular shank, 8. 7 dwt, size 5 1/2, signed "Bijoux de Braques" and "Heger de Lowenfeld". Note: Georges Braques (1882-1963) was a contemporary of Picasso and founder of the Cubist movement. He was the first modern master whose jewelry was exhibited during his lifetime at the Louvre, which subsequently purchased twelve of his hundred designs for its Galerie d'Apollon. The exhibition traveled throughout the world for nineteen years.
