Engineered 2-Inch Gauge Model Locomotive, England, c. 1930, of the Great Western Railway locomotive and tender Saint Martin No. 2925, finished in green livery, with electric motor, fluted connecting rods, buffers, detailed cab interior, tool boxes and tank hatch, (repainted), lg. 23 1/2 in., on display track. Note: The Saint Class of locomotives were designed by George Jackson Churchward in the early 20th century and were highly influential in latter British locomotives. In 1924, Churchward's successor Charles Colett rebuilt the Saint Martin with a more enclosed cab and smaller driving wheels. This became the prototype for the famous Hall Class locomotive of 1928-50.
