Large Cutaway Display Model of The United Air Lines Boeing Stratocruiser "Hawaii," by Pacific Miniatures, Alhambra, California, c. 1950,> with composition body on wood frame, electric transformer, 83-inch wingspan and four engines, the detailed interior with cockpit, four officers and controls, front cabin with bunk beds, lavatories, wash rooms, two main cabins with passengers and crew in various activities, galley, rear and lower lounges and baggage hold, lg. 66 in., on display stand, in fitted shipping case with various labels including United's Chicago offices and the Shoreham Hotel, Washington D.C. Note: The Hawaii (N31225) was United's first Stratocruiser in a fleet of seven. It was in service from September, 1949 until December, 1954. Ironically, one of the shipping labels on the crate is from Railway Express Agency.
