" and on the front, "Banks, 441 Strand, London," with brass circle, silvered scale, index arm with vernier, tangent screw adjustment and magnifier, two other verniers with magnifiers, oxidized lattice frame, mirrors, shades and telescopes, in fitted mahogany case, (lid front replaced), circle dia. 10 3/4 in.
