Twin Poured Wax Dolls with Clothing and Trunk, England, c. 1880, both with blue glass eyes, closed mouths, inset blonde mohair wigs (sparse), cloth bodies, wax limbs (damage to all limbs, one foot missing, some wax pieces available including one foot and one hand), both wearing matching cotton undergarments and aqua wool challis dresses, a blue wool dress, cotton print top, miscellaneous hats, stockings, etc., matching brown leather slippers, ht. 18 in.; in large wooden slat trunk, 28 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 13 in. Provenance: From the Massachusetts home of the original family; these dolls were bought for twin girls.
