Dutch Painted Secretary Bookcase, early 19th century, the upper section with broken-scroll pediment surmounting two shaped cabinet doors opening to a fabric-lined interior with two shelves, over a slant-lid desk which opens to multiple drawers and letter compartments above a tooled leather writing surface and hidden compartment with slide lid, two frieze drawers over three long drawers, later painted decoration of garlands, swags and figural scenes, all supported on tapered spade feet, ht. 84 1/2, wd. 48 1/2, dp. 25 in.
