Camille Pissarro (French, 1830-1903) Le Porteur de l'Eau Initialed "C. P." l.r. Pen and ink with charcoal on paper, sight size 6 3/4 x 4 3/4 in. (17 x 12 cm), framed. Condition: Two holes along lower edge (from sketchbook or album), toning, not examined out of frame. N.B. The lot is accompanied by a copy of a letter and notes from Joachim Pissarro, Chief Curator, Kimball Art Museum. According to Joachim Pissarro "this drawing reflects Pissarro's interest in caricature subsequent to his purchase of Histoire de las Caricature in 1883."
