Folk Art Carved and Painted Wooden Band Quartet, by Jerry Farrell, Sidney Center, New York, 20th century, the carved and polychrome painted wooden figures with applied found object hats and musical instruments, ht. 33-61in., wd. 14-37 1/4 in. Note: Folk artist Jerry Farrell, b. 1950, was originally from Westchester, New York, sold many of his carved and painted figures through Jay Johnson of New York City and the Ames Gallery in California. He stopped carving in 1989, and now makes high-end rustic twig furniture in Sidney Center, New York.
