Ladies Art Nouveau brooch or pin (also with loop at top for hanging on a necklace as a pendant) with floral motif of a purple violet or pansy with pearl accent on gold back, marked with X with four illegible letters in recessed areas of letter, possibly 14 for 14k. Brooch measures approximately 1.2" x 1.1". Item contained in a vintage Payne and Son, Goldsmiths, Oxford, England jewelry box.
