Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, John Bailey, Jr. , Hanover, Massachusetts, c. 1810, the hood with three square plinths topped by brass ball finials joining a pierced fret above the molded arched cornice and glazed tombstone door flanked by reeded free-standing columns, the gilt and polychrome iron moon's-age indicator with a sailing vessel flying and American flag and seashell spandrels, second hand and calendar aperture inscribed "John Bailey, Jr., Hanover" and eight day brass weight-driven movement with skeletonized plates, the waist with rectangular molded and crossbanded door flanked by engaged reeded quarter columns on cross banded base on slightly flaring feet and valanced skirt, old finish, (imperfections), ht. 90 in.
