Shaker Sewing Box, Brush, and Spool Box, 19th century, the rectangular sewing box made at Sabbathday Lake, Maine for "the world," with hinged, canted lid covered in light and dark wood veneers with inlay, in a geometric pattern, the wallpaper-lined interior fitted with a mirror on the lid and a lift-out tray with compartments containing sewing accoutrements; together with a two-tier birch spool holder with lower accessory drawer and round turned maple and horsehair brush, (imperfections), box ht. 3 7/8, wd. 8, dp. 11 1/4 in.; spool holder ht. 7 1/8, wd. 5 1/4, dp. 5 1/4 in.; brush lg. 11 1/2 in.
