Fancy Painted Pine Tall Case Clock, Seth Thomas, Connecticut, c. 1830, the hood with three square plinths above the arched cornice molding and glazed tombstone door flanked by freestanding columns, opening to the polychrome and gilt dial with an urn in the arch flanked by flower-filled cornucopias, strawberry spandrels centering the dial with seconds and calendar hands lettered "S. Thomas Plymouth" and weight-driven wooden works movement, the waist with rectangular thumbmolded door above a base on cutout feet, original putty vinegar painted decoration with simulated stringing, (very minor imperfections), ht. 87 1/2 in.
