Grain Painted and Stencil Decorated Invalid's Chair, probably Worcester County, Massachusetts area, 1840-1850, the yellow paint on the crest includes stenciled red flowers and olive green leafage with green painted striping above yellow spindles highlighted with black striping flanked by natural shaped arms on a grain-painted seat surrounded by yellow and green paint flanked by wooden side wheels with cast iron rims and a single small rear wheel, ht. 37 1/4, seat ht. 14, wheel ht. 24 1/4, rear wheel ht. 12 in.
