Ship's Log, American, 18th century, Manuscript log, 1766-1767, compiled by Commander Jonathan Parsons of the sloop "Repulse," bound to the West Indies, thence to Newbury, Massachusetts, Quebec, Barbados, Anguilla and back to Newbury(port), forty-one pages with some interesting commentary and encounters with foreign ships and an early seven page commentary on the abolition of slavery, "break every yoke and let the oppressed go free without delay... let them taste the sweets of that liberty which we so highly prize," folio, (worn).
