Kennedy, John F. (1917-1963), Autograph note signed, [July, 1960], one page, on pink paper, "Sorry-I have lost my voice but I would appreciate your vote anyway - Thanks! John Kennedy," with two letters concerning authenticity, one from Evelyn Lincoln, the other from Dr. Janet Travell. Note: At the Democratic National Convention in 1960, Kennedy, who had been barnstorming across the country on the campaign trail, found himself practically without a voice leading up to his acceptance speech at the convention. Under Dr. Travell's orders, he conserved his voice and wrote the above note which was copied and handed out to many at the convention.
