Fillmore, Millard (1800-1874), Autograph letter signed, April 18th , 1857, two pages, to a Mrs. Harris, informing her of his travel plans to New York and his desire to meet with her and her husband, a judge, "I should be strongly tempted to go to Albany again, but for the fact that my movements are watched and chronicled by the press and I do not wish to subject others to a forceful notoriety for my gratification...but business calls me to New York and that is sufficient reason for going. At least to the world!...As for the Judge, he is chained to the official car of industry...," (very good).
