Needlework Sampler, "Elizabeth Viner October The 13 1790," probably England, multicolored silk threads on a linen ground, with two pious verses at the top, the bottom centered with a tree with birds flanked by two small pine trees, deer, butterflies, and two houses and surrounded by various potted flowers, baskets of fruit, a figure of a man, and birds, all enclosed in a geometric floral border, (minor imperfections), 14 1/2 x 12 in.
