Classical Mahogany Veneer Sofa, probably New England, 1830-40, the beveled crest centers a shell carving which is echoed at the two ends above the out-scrolling arms with acanthus lead carved supports and rectangular tiger maple recess paneled inlaid dies on lead and c-scroll carved legs ending in flattened ball feet on castors, old surface, (imperfections), ht. 35 3/4, lg. 88, seat ht. 17 in.
