Two Miniature Silk Needlework Silhouettes, probably Continental, 18th century, one depicting a woman wearing a lace bonnet, enclosed in an embroidered oval, with a bowknot at the top and embellished with sequins and flower sprigs; the other depicting a gentleman with an embroidered laurel wreath above his head and a skull below, stitched lettering in an embroidered oval border reading "PASTOR Z.V. MOEGELDORF GEST: 1781 M. WOLFGANG FRIEDRICH LOCHNER," above an indistinct inscription with the year 1787 flanked by marble vessels, (toning, stain), 3 5/8 x 3 7/8 in., framed.
