Federal Mahogany Veneer Basin Stand, probably Massachusetts, c. 1820, the splashboard with scrolled terminals and brass mounts above a bowed front flanked by small drawers above a medial shelf with single drawer below, on ring-turned tapering legs ending in casters, replaced brasses, (surface imperfections and secondary top added above basin top), ht. 40 1/2, wd. 20 1/4, dp. 18 1/2 in. Provenance: Family descent from sea captain Nathaniel Kinsman, of Salem, Massachusetts, who was involved in the China trade; see lot 60.
