Grenfell Puffin Hooked Mat, Grenfell Labrador Industries, Newfoundland and Labrador, probably early 20th century, the rectangular mat composed of bleached and dyed rayon and silk strips hooked onto a burlap backing, depicting a puffin with ice floes and snow-covered rocky outcroppings, in shades of brown, orange, off-white, and pastel green, with a variegated brown border, mounted on a frame, 11 7/8 x 17 3/4 in.
