Federal Mahogany Inlaid Armchair, North Shore, Massachusetts or Piscataqua, Maine region, c. 1800, the serpentine crest on the tall back with its curving arms and out-scrolled terminals above reeded and ring-turned baluster arm supports continuing to square tapering string inlaid front legs joined by square stretchers to the rear raking legs, old surface, (imperfections), ht. 42 1/2, seat ht. 15 3/4 in.
