Small China Head on Wood Articulated Body, Germany, c. 1840, blue painted eyes, red eye line above, light pink lustre, black center-part hair style falling over ears on sides to bun in back, shoulderhead with narrow V-shaped back, pegged onto long thin wooden body jointed at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, china lower limbs, right hand clenched with hole though center, legs with orange slippers and tiny heels (left broken and reglued), ht. 8 1/2 in.
