Large Early Izannah Walker Cloth Doll, Central Falls, Rhode Island, mid 19th century, prototype for the Walker dolls of the 1860-70s, molded and painted features, large brown shaded eyes, closed mouth, two corkscrew curls in front of ears, (breaks and damage at neck reveal layer of padding traditional to Walker production), cloth body, unpainted limbs, separately stitched thumb, bare undelineated feet, cotton dress and apron, ht. 27 1/2 in.
